Daily Life as an Operations & Logistics Intern

The Operations & Logistics Internship provides hands-on experience across both Logistics & Sales and Asset Operations, giving interns a well-rounded understanding of how the commercial and operational sides of the business work together. Interns will gain practical exposure to the activities and decisions that support customers, generate revenue, and keep day-to-day operations moving efficiently, while also contributing to projects that improve business processes and performance.

Key areas of experience include:

  • Logistics, Sales & Customer Relationships: Gain exposure to brokerage, sales, pricing, negotiation, customer service, and the day-to-day coordination of freight.

  • Dispatch & Fleet Operations: Develop an understanding of dispatch, fleet planning, driver support, equipment utilization, and the coordination required to support daily operations.

  • Business & Operational Performance: Learn how commercial and operational decisions influence efficiency, customer service, revenue, profitability, and overall performance.

  • Process Improvement & Projects: Contribute to relevant projects focused on improving processes, identifying efficiencies, solving business challenges, and supporting operational improvements.

  • Collaboration & Problem-Solving: Work alongside experienced professionals to support business priorities, respond to operational challenges, and build practical knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry.
