Gio - 2021 Intern

Gio joined the SFI Internship program as a Rotational Operations and Recruitment Intern, where he gained a deeper understanding of his strengths and weaknesses. Utilizing his bilingualism in the role and seeing his impact gave him a strong sense of accomplishment.

He credits the program’s mentorship, culture, and real-world exposure for shaping his career. With the support of a collaborative team that believed in his growth, Gio developed confidence and refined his strengths over time and now works as a Recruitment Team Lead.

Josh - 2022 Intern

Josh joined the SFI Internship program as an Operations Intern, where he valued the opportunity SFI International gave him to connect with not only senior leadership, but also other interns on similar professional journeys. He quickly felt like a valuable part of the team from day one. By the end of his internship, he was confidently dispatching and planning multiple boards, while building strong relationships with both drivers and customers.

Today, he applies those lessons in his current role as a Business Development Team Lead, crediting the internship as a key driver of his growth.

Sahil - 2023 Intern

Solutions Manager

Sahil started as a Logistics Coordinator Intern, where he gained hands-on experience in both operations and sales. His role allowed him to build meaningful relationships with customers while gaining insight into the full scope of the business. He valued the combination of academic application and frontline operations work offered.

Through direct guidance and real-world challenges, Sahil developed strong communication skills and professional confidence. He credits the supportive, team-oriented environment SFI offers as a key part of his experience and continued growth. Today, he thrives as a Senior Team Lead in the Logistics department.

Amber - 2025 Intern

Accounting Intern

Amber joined SFI as an Accounting Intern, where she was drawn to the operational and hands-on opportunities the role offered, as well as the company’s strong reputation. Working through month-end each cycle has been a welcomed challenge, as she continues to deepen her understanding of the business and its financials with every month end close.

Learning alongside former interns who have grown into senior roles has been incredibly valuable, giving her both guidance and perspective from those who were once in her position. One of the biggest lessons she has learned is the importance of relying on her team. Everyone is willing to help, which has also allowed her to grow more confident and step outside her comfort zone.

Throughout her internship, Amber has gained real-world experience working on month-end processes, analyzing financial statements, and developing a deeper understanding of the key drivers behind business performance. The collaborative and welcoming environment has allowed her to take on meaningful work, build relationships, and take ownership of her learning.

Conner - 2026 Intern

Conner joined the company as an Operations Intern in May of 2026. He was drawn to the transportation industry by the opportunity to work with well-known customers and gain exposure to the many moving parts of the business. As a student, he was eager to apply his classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while learning from experienced professionals.

Throughout his internship, Conner has taken on meaningful projects, including developing and improving Power BI dashboards and reports used to support daily operations. Seeing these tools help to drive better decision-making has been one of the most rewarding aspects of his experience so far.

He credits the company's collaborative culture for making a strong impression, noting that everyone is willing to answer questions and share their knowledge, regardless of department or location. Through the experience, Conner has gained valuable industry knowledge, expanded his technical skills, and continued to grow both professionally and personally.
